Have you ever gone shopping for electronics, clothing or a car only to be put off by the overly priced items? Mind you I don't say dvd's and cd's because we all know where we get those from, not the shops that's for sure...now if only we could download our entire wardrobe from the latest designer.
So while we wait for the technology to make downloading clothes a reality, for now we can shift to buying second hand items. Right now you are probably imagining your grandmothers old moth-eaten dresses, or a VCR with spiders inside. Maybe once upon a time that's what second items seemed like, but in this day and age, when the life cycle of new fashion and electronic goods lasts as long as your resolution to exercise and lose weight, second hand now seems more like getting awesome stuff for less.
Whatever your need, I'm sure you can find it second hand and much cheaper if you bought it at the store, and second hand no longer means broken and disfunctional, it just means people no longer have use for it. For instance, you can now purchase awesome items such as iPhones and iPads, or a Prada bag for next to nothing! See, second hand items are starting to look like unearthed gold, doesn't it? The reason second hand items are still viewed as dust covered trash is because companies want you, the consumer, to continously update your good by replacing with shinier and improved models of what you already have. They don't want you to have the same thing for years, it's bad business, so when people buy a new item, they just throw the old one out even though it still works. But that's all in the psychology of people. What you need to know is that there are mountains of things for your home like furniture, computers, used cars and clothes that you can find on Yakaz. It's just a matter of looking and finding.
Just think about all the money you will save buying almost new items at half the price! Here are some tips on what to buy used and what to buy new:
Sometimes you may be surprised by what you find. One man's trash is another man's treasure, am I right? You never know, you might even find something valuable, like a Jane Austen collection from someone's attic dating back to the first edition. Or a gnome to watch over your garden, or a tricycle, just think of the possibilities.
While I let you get acquainted with the magic of Yakaz and what it can help you find, I'm gonna go roll around in my newly purchased, second hand pool full of coloured balls, I'm diving for gold! It's mine, it's all mine for so cheap, my childhood dreams have been realised.
